I saw this film and although I can only take a few Eastwood films but being I lived in Atlanta for a time during their super reign in the 90’s of the Braves, I had to take a look! I liked it especially when the upcoming pitcher took jackass Gentry down a few notches. It was the greatest of sports films but hey. I still follow the Braves but mainly I follow the San Francisco Giants! 💞

They literally could have picked anyone else to play the batter, literally anyone. But they went with a guy who looks like a chewed piece of bubble gum

Premier athleticism has always utterly amazed me as well as the limits of greatness. I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience that my junior year in high school when I drew the Nebraska state champ for my 167lb wrestling weight class at a summer AAU tourney. I was confident that I was gonna come outta nowhere and pin him. What happened was anything but as he was so fast and smooth, I could only literally watch him execute his moves and couldn't do a damn thing to stop him! He couldn't pin me though and that frustrated him I could tell, so he went on to work around me every which way and embarrass me with a 14-2 score. As we shook hands, I told him that wrestling him was a real privilege and all he said "thanks and you're damn strong."
